Housekeeping Essentials

Build the practical skills and workplace knowledge required for hotel and commercial cleaning roles with our Housekeeping Essentials program. This hands-on course prepares participants to work safely, efficiently, and professionally in accommodation, hospitality, and cleaning environments. Gain real-world experience aligned with industry standards while developing confidence to step directly into employment.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures in cleaning and housekeeping environments.
  • Prepare and maintain guest rooms and public areas to industry standards.
  • Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Work efficiently as part of a housekeeping or cleaning team.
  • Apply quality checks to ensure rooms and facilities meet presentation and hygiene requirements.

Nationally Accredited Units:

  • BSBWHS211 – Contribute to health and safety of self and others
  • CPPCLO3111 – Clean rooms, furniture and fittings

On successful completion, participants will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for both units of competency. These credentials demonstrate practical capability in workplace safety and professional cleaning practices.

4 days; Monday - Thursday 9am - 3.30pm

No Formal Pre-Requisites

Open to participants who meet basic language, literacy, and numeracy requirements. No prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is required.
